Things are coming along...

It is hard to come to a screeching halt and do a 180 in your schooling. That's what we've done, twice in a row now. There's a lot to prepare for when you begin a new curriculum and I was kicking and screaming when I first began to prepare for SOW, but as the Lord has opened my eyes, I can see now we're on the right track.

...I've been selling off books. This is kind of a new endeavor for me. It seemed like such a hassle to do before (online). But, the process isn't too bad when you do a book at a time. In fact, I don't even have to go anywhere. When I go through Paypal I can print the postage out from their site, wrap the book up, slap the label on & just hand it to the carrier. I CAN DO THAT! :-)
So, I've been able to make some money little by little. Which helps out. But, what's really cool is that I've been getting really great deals!!! Like, "It Couldn't Just Happen" for $5ppd. And, "Earth Science" for, again, $5ppd. Yep. And, if you think that's a good deal - I got "Dinosaurs & the Bible" and "Mystery of the Ark" both for FREE! Well, ok, I signed up for PaperbackSwap. So, technically I am paying when someone requests a book. I'm still not totally sold on the whole idea, but hey I got two great books mailed to me for nothing. It can't get better than that!

So, somehow my year is totally organize. I was working like mad to get it together & I'm pretty much there. I haven't "super organized" 1B, but the layout is pretty much together & I figure it will probably take me a good while to get through 1A anyway.

What's the plan?
Right now I'm waiting on a few books to come & I think I might be able to start sometime in August. I'm planning on working just a few "weeks" each month, which gives us time to enjoy life & each other. Plus it helps to let things sink in. These are some pretty heavy subjects we'll be studying! We'll just take it by the day & see how it goes.
